Kathy Lawrence, is the founder of Just Food, which brings together organizations that are working on various food system issues such as urban gardening, organic farming, hunger and nutrition, consumer advocacy and social justice in and around New York City.

PANEL

Scott Chaskey, farmer, poet and educator. Employed by Peconic Land Trust, he has farmed for eighteen years at Quail Hill Farm, one of the original Community Supported Agriculture farms in the country. He presently serves as President of NOFA-NY.

Peter Hoffman, owner and chef of Savoy and Back Forty, is also Executive Director and National Chair of the Chefs Collaborative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting artisanal, local and organic foods. Hoffman was named one of Organic Style's Power list of Top 50 Environmental Crusaders.

Anna Lappé, named one of TIME's “Eco-Who’s Who", honored by Contribute Magazine’s “21 Under 40 Making a Difference.” Co-host of PBS series The Endless Feast; Winner of the Nautilus Award for Social Change.

Dr. Woodson C. Merrell, MD is the M. Anthony Fisher Chairman of Integrative Medicine at the Continuum Center for Health and Healing in NYC. This Center is part of Beth Israel Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a frequent guest for all major network broadcast media both regionally and nationally.
