NOFA-NY is excited to announce our partnership with the Northeast Organic Seed Conference in hosting our 41st Annual Winter Conference to take place in early 2023! While the pandemic may have launched us into this virtual world, we can see that the result is a more accessible and equitable event.
By hosting the conference virtually, we are able to offer lower sliding scale ticket prices than we could offer at an in-person event, and it’s a lot easier to hop on a laptop than it is to drive in a blizzard. More importantly, the virtual platform broadens access by eliminating hotel and travel costs, offering on-demand workshop recordings, more dynamic interpretation services, closed captioning, and more.
Our small staff and a group of dedicated educators work hard to plan this event, but with your help we can be sure you are getting what you want out of it. Mutual support and the generous exchange of knowledge is a hallmark of the NOFA-NY community, so if you have an idea for a workshop, or would like to suggest a presenter, we encourage you to submit a proposal.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 2.
About the Conference
NOFA-NY’s annual conference draws hundreds of farmers, food system professionals, educators, advocates, researchers, homesteaders, and gardeners who are passionate about building a better food system. Our 2022 Virtual Winter Conference offered the opportunity to learn from more than 100 presenters through workshops, discussion groups, and networking. NOFA-NY is fortunate to be able to source the most knowledgeable educators around – pulling from the 1,100+ farms we certify in addition to many other like-minded organizations.
