Join us for a tour of Restoration Farm and learn about the many benefits organic cover crops, including soil health, weed control, tillage reduction, erosion prevention, forage for chickens, and pollinator habitat for bees. Hosted by CCE Soil Scientist, Debbie Aller, and Caroline Fanning and Dan Holmes of Restoration Farm.
This field day is offered through the Long Island Organic Transition Program, which provides mentorship, technical assistance, and funding to cover certification costs for farmers on Long Island. Learn more on our website.
